ABC's Interview with Rebecca Black

After Justin Biebers success, youtube has been known for helping individuals fulfill their dreams and become famous. As everyone knows Justin Bieber began posting videos of himself only for the purpose of his family out of town to be able to watch him.

When he began noticing hundreds, of thousands of 'hits' he began posting more and more videos of him  singing songs from other famous artists. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Rc7QP40YSc
the link above his a video on youtube about Justin Biebers success story.

Now people are talking about a 13 year old girl on youtube (REBECCA BLACK) who sings the song Friday. Her song has received 33,885,624 hits but unfornutelly most of those hits were a dislike. This young girl is trying to fulfill her dreams and sing but individuals are bullying her and telling her things like ' I hope you getting an eatting disorder and look good' she told an ABC reporter during an interview. We all know youtube allows people to say what ever they feel but because I feel it is very rude for people to believe they can say what ever they want because its over the computer and they don't have to explain their actions. With cyber bullying becoming more and more popular she still stays positive with number 39 on itunes as of March 18th.

Below is a link to one of the interviews about the attacks she has recieved over her newly posted video that her parents payed for.

  1. We have watched this video in class today and it's true that my ears was hurting.. lol
Internet allows people to share their feelings, what they think and stuff. But it's true that some people are very rude..

  2. I agree that the internet allows so many young people to become extremely well known without much talent at all. But on the other hand, the internet helps many individuals who have real talent and lack the millions of dollars become famous, or at least attract large amounts of attention. I feel bad for the girl as she wasnt offending anyone to begin in creating her song, some people take things way to far.

  3. People do take things way too far. What right do they have to go hurt some innocent girls feelings? Ok, ya she wasn't the greatest singer but do you really have to put her down for it? She may think she's great, who cares? She is having fun and expressing herself through music. Let her be. It reminds me of that old saying we heard when we were young, " If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." I believe people should have the freedom of speech online, but really, have some respect for others. Nobody's asking you to view her vides anyways.

  4. I really don’t believe it when she says it doesn’t bother her. See, the thing is, she’s a teenage girl. Teenage girls, especially her age, are extremely sensitive, which is why school alone at this age is the worst years of people’s life. So when she says she doesn’t care and is doesn’t bother her, I have a very hard time believing it.

I think the song she sang didn’t really show what she could do, and instead had a negative effect on her voice.

She just needs to find someone else to write her songs.

  5. Whether she is a good singer or not (definitely not), she still generated over 34 million hits on youtube. She is now a star and people will be talking about her for a little while anyways. I’m sure she will make some money out of this from endorsements or maybe even another youtube video. Whatever the case, people around the world are talking about her which makes her famous.
